Consistently lauded as a top national university, Cal State Fullerton’s highly ranked programs, master faculty, rich diversity and experiential learning has resulted in graduates who are uniquely positioned to excel and contribute to a rapidly changing world. This provides a continuous opportunity for media attention. Strategic Communications and Brand Management is the chief steward of both the university's relationships with the external news media, as well as the university's central internal communications efforts.

Our news media services team serves as a resource to the university to promote and protect the university's reputation, and coordinate outreach to regional, national and international media outlets. We manage public and news media inquiries, promote faculty experts and assist members of the university community in preparing for or handling media matters.

A sampling of CSUF media coverage can be found at CSUF in the News. A dedicated page for journalists is also available to help media outlets quickly discover trending experts and news releases.

If you have information about university accomplishments, projects, studies and upcoming activities you believe are worthy of coverage by news media or internal communication channels, contact 657-278-2414 or newssubmissions@fullerton.edu.

CSUF News Center

As part of its portfolio of responsibilities, Strategic Communications and Brand Management’s Editorial Development team sustains a strong brand journalism program to deepen understanding of and appreciation for the meaning of Cal State Fullerton in the community and region by external stakeholders as well as internal audiences. Stories written for and posted to the university’s news site are the result of an ongoing departmental planning process that, in particular, seeks to connect stories emerging from the university to the adopted brand themes. Information about major events, campus projects and senior leadership appointments are also posted to the news site. Additional announcements are sometimes included in the weekday “Titans Today” emails sent to employees.
